Welcome to the Boost program to enhance YOU! The Cognitive Fitness Boot Camp is designed to teach you about yourself and about your ways of responding to the world around you. You will explore your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors in order to help you understand YOURSELF.
You will start with the first section, which we call Brain Training for Beginners, to learn about Emotional Intelligence, Cognitive Fitness and Mental Skills. These developmental concepts involve your thought processes, your emotional management, and your behavioral responses. By completing the activities you will learn how these concepts work together, and how to enrich these areas in order to develop a better YOU; a YOU as a highly emotional intelligent, cognitively fit individual with useful mental skills that enhance positive behavioral outcomes. Once this section is complete you will move right into the lessons for the Cognitive Fitness Boot Camp
The Boot Camp section contains 10-lessons that further develop these skills. Each lesson consists of: a Lesson, a Talk, a Task, a Technique, and a Meditation audio, all which enhance the acquisition, practice and implementation of each lesson’s skill.
It is important that you are honest in your reflections, evaluations, and responses when completing the activities. These areas are non-judgmental zones and your responses are confidential. Confidentiality will be breached if you plan to harm yourself or harm someone else, or if someone is harming you.
Your responses will help you to pinpoint areas that you can develop and improve upon. You are only cheating yourself if you are not honest with yourself, and in doing so you cheat your development and growth in each area. Be sure to complete all activities in order to gain the most from the material.
Once an activity is completed and uploaded you will see a green button with the word 'approval.' If you click on the green button a 'Comment' page will pop-up. If you have any questions, problems with an assignment or comments, feel free to utilize the comment area and we will respond, so look for an email from us!
All activity responses are reviewed and confidential. Expect to receive feedback from one of our experts. In your best interest, please note that confidentiality may be violated if there is noted an intent to harm yourself or someone else or if someone is harming you.
For easy maneuvering you will find arrows at the top and at the bottom of each page to take you back to the previous activity or forward to the next. You can click on Back to Lesson in the middle, at the bottom if you need to re-read any information. It will take you to the Course Lesson and you can click to re-enter any area.
To help you understand each topic, we have created a Boost Activity Guide (BAG). You may access it below by clicking on the download button. Please download it and save it to your computer. Just so that you are aware, if you open it directly, it may take a few minutes to download. Use it to help you as you work through each lessons.
